“Retirement is a blank sheet of paper. It’s a chance to redesign your life into something new and different.”
- Patrick Foley
Retiring well is about more than money. Retirement Coaching can help you thrive physically, mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
Sometimes we think of retirement as a goal or a destination, when it’s really more of a process. You cross the finish line and celebrate a job well done. But then what? Even if you didn’t particularly love your job or career, it provided some essentials you might have taken for granted. A place to go. Something to do. A schedule and structure. People to socialize with. Maybe even a sense of purpose, meaning and identity.
And while the idea of having freedom to do whatever you like once you retire sounds appealing, it can also be overwhelming. We can end up defaulting to what’s easiest - channel surfing, scrolling through social media, doing meaningless tasks, sleeping and eating too much or not enough, isolating because we don’t feel like having to answer the inevitable question, “How’s retirement treating you?”
But it doesn’t have to be this way. Retirement really can be an adventure, a time of rediscovery and personal growth. Maybe even the best time of your life.
As your retirement coach, I’ll work with you to explore what a meaningful and fulfilling retirement looks like for you, and how to avoid the non-financial pitfalls of retirement.
The ideal time to begin working with a retirement coach is before you retire. But it’s never too late. Even if you’ve already retired, retirement coaching can help you create a life of meaning, fulfillment and joy.
I’d love to hear about your retirement plans and hopes, and to discuss how retirement coaching can help make your retirement everything you want it to be. Schedule your FREE 30-Minute Coaching Conversation now. I look forward to meeting you.
